Client Objective:
Clear an overgrown, disused area of an industrial estate to prepare the site for future development and inspection.
The Challenge
What was once a functional section of an industrial estate had become engulfed in scrubland and self-seeded trees. Years of neglect had allowed brambles, dense brush, and fast-growing tree species to take over. Accessibility was poor, visibility was worse, and the area posed potential health and safety risks for site staff or members of the public who may have strayed onto the site. Our task was straightforward: clear the site of all unwanted vegetation and leave the site clean and inspection-ready.
Our Approach
This project called for robust, agile machinery and a team experienced in site clearance. We deployed a tracked robo mulcher, an ideal machine for tackling difficult terrain and thick scrub with efficiency and precision. The remote operation capability provided added safety while navigating uneven or heavily vegetated ground. This feature enabled the operator to stand at a safe distance at all times.
Where the robo mulcher reached its limits — particularly with larger saplings and small trees that had self-seeded over the years — our team stepped in with chainsaws. Due to the size of the site, the use of chainsaws rather than bringing in heavier machinery capable of mulching the larger timber was chosen as the most cost-effective method.

The Outcome

The stark contrast between the before-and-after speaks volumes: improved access, improved safety, and a clean slate for the site’s next chapter.
