Forestry has always been part of our family history. My grandad worked as a forestry contractor for over 40 years, with my dad working alongside him. Growing up around forestry and woodland management gave me a strong respect for how forests should be worked — carefully, efficiently and with long-term outcomes in mind.
They stepped away from forestry just before I left school, and I went on to train and build my career as a professional tree surgeon. While arboriculture became my main trade, my passion for forestry never left, leading naturally into low impact forestry contracting.
